Summary:
The Assistant Manager primarily helps plan and manage all aspects of the assigned store's day-to-day operations, including selecting and managing personnel, establishing strong customer and vendor relations, overseeing inventory control, and generally supervising the daily ebb and flow of store-related matters.
The Assistant Manager is also responsible for implementing and maintaining the company's policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
As manager on duty (i.
e.
, the manager scheduled on a shift and responsible for the dispensary's overall operations), supervising store operations, including team member activities and duties, sales floor activities, and handling escalated customer service matters.
Daily balancing of cash and product inventory, and training team members on cash and product inventory reconciliation.
Monitoring and providing feedback to Dispensary Manager on inventory levels and dispensary sales, to track store trends.
Ensuring adherence to local and state laws and regulations, through enforcement of company policies and procedures.
Auditing Communication Binder for current information and updates.
Auditing patient intake, for accuracy and completion.
Auditing cash handling records chain of custody documents and waste disposal logs to ensure proper recordkeeping.
Assisting with recruitment and hiring at the store, including participating in candidate interviews, and making recommendations for hiring decisions.
Advising on staffing needs and scheduling team members, including preparing store schedules.
Implementing brand sales marketing strategies.
Reviewing daily sales and best practices with team members, to achieve goals.
Conducting meetings at the start of shifts, to set goals and messaging with team members.
Ensuring supply orders are submitted to accounting in a timely manner.
Overseeing preparation and fulfillment of patient home delivery orders as manager on duty.
Observing patient services on sales floor, including team member productivity and patient engagement, to assess team member performance.
Demonstrating sales floor best practices, to facilitate team member development.
Maintaining accountability of all team members, including through delegation of tasks as manager on duty, to drive sales and achieve store goals.
Assist team members with patient questions and sales as needed.
Training team members on retail operations, including on patient/caregiver services, HIPAA and confidentiality requirements, and retail inventory management and point of sale platforms.
Acting as a resource for team members on product knowledge and dosing.
Directing and ensuring that team members adhere to company policies and procedures, and state and local laws and regulations.
Collaborating with the Dispensary Manager on short- and long-term objectives and action items for the store.
Assist in training programs for management team.
Assessing and recommending team members for advancement opportunities.
Assisting with team member evaluations, including through verbal feedback, recommendations of progressive disciplinary action and separation consistent with company policies and procedures, and periodic performance reviews.
Participating in weekly management team meetings.
Assisting with leading quarterly team meetings.
Being a company brand ambassador and modeling brand representation in the store.
Implementing and participating in community outreach programs and building relationships with community leaders and trust from our neighbors.
Following and implementing the company's core values, including respect, diversity, sustainability, research, and service.
Ensuring team members adhere to the company's cultural principles.
Maintaining dispensary aesthetic according to the company brand, including music selection and daily dispensary cleanliness.
Fostering a highly motivated team environment.
Ensuring team member proficiency in cash balancing and product protection.
Conducting random audits of cash and/or product and ensuring daily balancing of cash and product are done according to Company and regulatory policies.
Reviewing and implementing security procedures and protocols with management team.
Reviewing incident reporting with management team.
Executing daily and/or monthly product inventory.
Reviewing Loss Prevention procedures with team members on a quarterly basis.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 21 years old.
3-5 years' experience in retail management, managing a diverse team.
College degree preferred.
Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services, preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Basic math skills.
Ability to lead multiple employees in a team environment.
Experienced in a fast paced, high transaction environment.
Good organizational skills.
Sound decision making skills.
Analytical.
Detail oriented.
Proactive.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds.

extension) and general hardware tools needed for common repairs.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
