Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team in Phoenix, AZ, Grand Rapids, MI or St.
Petersburg, FL.
Electrical Engineer is experience-based responsibility across a broad range of electrical engineering disciplines including the design, test and integration of CCAs containing analog, digital, power and high-speed circuits, along with supporting cables.
The position supports Commercial Avionics products, including surveillance, transponder, recorder, display, sensors.
The position will be responsible for electrical design tasks includes requirements analysis, specification generation, interface definition, component selection, circuit simulation, schematic capture, board layout, product testing.
Essential Functions:
Experience Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design duties from concept to design implementation, verification, integration, sustainment, upgrades, and obsolescence management.
Experience with analog, digital, power and high-speed circuit designCreate all necessary documentation to provide design descriptions, trades, requirement traceability, bill of materials, PCB design, etc.
for a complete data packageExtensive experience with schematic capture tools - Mentor Graphics Expedition or similarOversee layout activities for a range of simple to complex PCBsDevise and driving new approaches to technical problemsCommunicate needs/requirements/status to management, other engineering disciplines and parties external to the organization (e.
g.
, customers, vendors, etc.
)Conduct peer reviews, PDRs, CDRs, and other required design reviewsInterface with software, mechanical, FPGA firmware, RF, test, and certification, project management, program management teamsIdentify high risk circuit functions then plan and drive early prototyping/simulation for risk mitigationDevelop board level test plans and procedures for electrical subsystems and all relevant documentation for design description and requirementsExperience with Scheduling, costing, and technical responsibility at the board or major subsystem levelPerforming evaluation, simulation, bread-boarding, test and troubleshooting of electrical circuits and functionsSupport resolution of issues and part shortage/obsolescence efforts for productionConduct Root Cause Failure InvestigationsMentor junior engineersOther duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Outstanding communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)Excellent people skills, with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.
Ability to support geographically dispersed teams, including through travelExperience with RTCA DO-160 design assurance guidance for airborne electronic hardwareKnowledge of engineering design standards for commercial aviation industryExperience in proposal development and preparing defendable Basis of Estimates.
Experiencing with product, system level, environmental certification testingExperience with setting up layout constraints and simulation tools like HyperlynxExperience working in a Continuous Improvement CultureExperience designing or troubleshooting high reliability electronicsAbout the Company:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
